Where do I find my Notice Number?
You should find this in large print on the Notice of Intended Prosecution you received through the post, under the heading Notice Number. It is a 16 digit reference number starting with “0033”
Where do I find my PIN?
This is on the front of the Notice of Intended Prosecution (NIP) under the notice number.
How long do I have to submit a nomination?
As soon as possible, normally within 28 days from the date the Notice was issued, which can be found on the front of the Notice.
What should I do if I do not have the complete address, e.g. just the street name?
You will be unable to complete the online nomination on this Portal. You should complete and return the Notice, as instructed including explanatory information.
What should I do if the person I am nominating lives abroad?
You will not be able to complete an online nomination, you will need to reply to the Notice providing the driver details. You will also need to provide evidence that they were in the country at the time of the alleged offence along with a copy of the insurance policy confirming they were insured to drive the vehicle at the time.
Can I see the Photographic evidence?
Photographs can be viewed by logging in to the Road Safety Portal using your Notice Number and PIN supplied on the first page of your notice. It may take 24-36hrs from the date of the Notice to upload the images to the portal.
